OPPO A5S CPH1909 Test Point Overview

The OPPO A5S (model CPH1909) is a budget Android smartphone powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) chipset. When the device suffers a dead boot, a locked bootloader situation, or a failed firmware update, technicians rely on the hardware test point (ISP eMMC) method to restore the device or erase FRP (Factory Reset Protection) directly at the chip level, bypassing normal boot sequences entirely.

  • Device powers on but is stuck in a boot loop or on the OPPO logo.

Required Tools

To work with the OPPO A5S CPH1909 test points you will need a compatible ISP box or dongle such as UMT (Ultimate Multi Tool), EasyJTAG Plus, or Medusa Pro II. A fine-tip soldering iron or ISP clip/pogo-pin adapter, quality flux, and thin 30 AWG wire are also necessary. ISP eMMC Test Point Locations

The ISP pads on the OPPO A5S CPH1909 are located on the back side of the main PCB, near the eMMC chip. The standard MediaTek ISP pinout applies. After opening the device and removing the motherboard, identify the eMMC pads using the pinout below. Connect your ISP adapter leads carefully to each pad before powering the board.

Step Overview

  3. Solder or clip your ISP adapter wires to CLK, CMD, DAT0, VCC, VCCQ, GND (and RST if needed).
  4. Connect the adapter to your ISP tool (UMT, EasyJTAG Plus, etc.) and launch the software.
  5. Select MediaTek MT6765 or use eMMC auto-detect. Power the board via the ISP tool's supply rail.
  6. Execute your desired operation: Read, FRP Erase, or Full Flash/Restore.
  7. After completion, disconnect safely, reassemble, and test the device.

Safety Notice

Never apply more than 3.3 V to the VCC rail or more than 1.8 V to VCCQ. Incorrect voltage will permanently damage the eMMC. Ensure the battery is fully disconnected before connecting ISP leads. Work in an ESD-safe environment at all times.
